We are so close to being finished and we are so excited! It looks great and we can't wait until we can start using our fireplace again--especially on chilly nights like tonight!

Who's there? A new French Door and windows! HeHeHe

Our new French Sliding door and two new windows were installed today. Also, they started to paint in the dining room and completed the paint in the living room. I will post some pictures of the paint tomorrow once we have natural light again. Happy Monday! :)

Busy Saturday

Today was another great day filled with progress. Our new front door was installed and looks FABULOUS!!! New bathroom fixtures and new toilet were installed in the guest bathroom. Also, Ari helped out a little and installed our beautiful new kitchen faucet.

BAD BLOGGER!!!

Sorry, I have not updated this in a few days--things were a little crazy. My best friend Amy was in town with her hubby Petros so they spent the last couple of days here with us. I had such an amazing time seeing her and catching up!

There has been some major progress on the house the last few days. The guest bathroom was tiled and grouted, the living room/dining room/kitchen were primed for paint, and the kitchen back splash was grouted. We spoke with our contractor today and he said we are on schedule to complete everything within the next two weeks--HOW EXCITING!! Here are some pics of the bathroom...

I did not get the chance to post an update yesterday because Ari and I both got home late from work and my camera battery was dead. I am happy to report that the kitchen is almost complete! Yesterday and today the back splash was put in and the demo began on our guest bathroom. Everything is moving along great and we could not be happier with the way things are turning out! Things we have left to do until the kitchen/living room is complete: install new windows, install the french door, add new mantle to the fireplace, paint, hang pendant lights, install wood flooring, and install the new fridge and dishwasher. Christmas!

Well it's not really Christmas but it sure felt like it today! This afternoon I was joking with my friend Holly that I have been feeling like a little kid on Christmas Eve waiting with such anticipation for the next morning to come! It seemed like a lifetime away--yes, I know it sounds dramatic and silly but this is probably the moment I have been the most excited for through out the remodel--THE DAY THE GRANITE IS INSTALLED! I fell in love with this granite from the moment I stepped in the granite yard and could not wait to see it cut and installed with our new cabinets. It looks BEAUTIFUL--we could not be happier with how it turned out!

Happy Friday!!!

Today really was a Happy Friday I came home to a lot of progress on the house! A new window was framed out, accessories put on the stove and gas is working, ovens installed, and the new lighting is now functional in the living room. HOORAY!!! Here are some pictures--ENJOY!

Rain Rain Go Away...

So the rain has not let up for the last few days leading to some very cranky Southern Californians (AKA Ari and I) and EXTREMELY muddy puppies (AKA Indi and Ralphie). After being sick in bed all weekend and having a hard Monday at work I was sooooo happy to come home today to some progress on the house!! Our AMAZING stove and hood were installed and the slate tile was laid on the fireplace. We are so excited to put these to good use! :)
